Dentists
Dr. James R. Orcutt
Dr. James R. Orcutt is a fine dentist, as well as a dedicated, good-natured and hard working, native New Yorker, born in Schenectady, NY. He is a graduate of Ithaca High School 1962 (National Honor Society), Bucknell University, BS, 1966 (Dean’s List), University of Detroit-Mercy, School of Dentistry, DDS, 1970 (Dean’s List). He has a vast number of years of clinical dental know-how plus experience as a leader in organized dentistry:

Dr. Orcutt is married (41 years) to Dianne Sawicki (a dental hygienist) and they have four sons.
Dr. Leonard Bers, DDS (Dr. Lenny)
Dr. Lenny came to our practice after the death of his cousin, Gerry, to give us a hand during that difficult period. He has since grown to love the area, the office and the staff, and looks forward to the days he spends in Cooperstown. His primary practice is in the Maryland suburbs of Washington, DC, not far from Andrews Air Force Base.
A rare native- born Washingtonian, Dr. Lenny grew up in Salisbury on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Having graduated from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore with a B.A. in Natural Sciences, he attended dental school at the University of Maryland; he was a freshman while Dr. Gerry was a senior. He spent a year as a dental resident at the Prince George's General Hospital in Cheverly, Maryland before opening his own practice.
Some of his activities and accomplishments include:
- Awarded a Mastership in the Academy of General Dentistry Membership in the Pierre Fauchard Academy
- Currently Treasurer of the Southern Maryland Dental Society
- Previously Editor of the Oracle (Southern MD Dental Newsletter)
- Has served on many dental society committees at both the local and state levels in Maryland Associate member of the 6th. District Dental Society in New York
- Serves on the alumni board of the University of Maryland Dental School
- A thespian of sorts in a number of community theater productions
Dr. Lenny's wife, Melinda, is an accountant with the federal government; they have two sons.
Dr. David R. Bourque
Dr. Bourque received his BA Degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology Summa Cum Laude from SUNY at Buffalo in 1977. He received his DDS from the SUNY at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 1982 and has been practicing dentistry for 28 years. Dr. Bourque is a member of the American Dental Association, the Dental Society of the State of New York and the Eighth District Dental Society. While maintaining his practice in Grand Island, New York, he raised his family of four.
Dr. Bourque joins our team with the intention of moving his family in the near future and hopes to make Cooperstown and N.C.D.A. his final home. He has coached Little League Baseball since 1995 and is an avid Mets fan, as well as the Buffalo Bills and Sabres and also enjoys golf, music, theater and travel. He and his wife, Bonnie,
have been married since 1987 and are very proud of their four children.
Hygienists
Suzanne L. Bers, RDH
Suzanne has been involved in the dental field for over 25 years, first as a dental assistant, with the last 15 years as a dental hygienist. She has a varied dental background, including working in a periodontal office, but clearly enjoys educating her patients about prevention: “The younger the better”.

Maria L. Kaltenbach, RDH
Maria was born in Brooklyn, and lived in Lima, Peru for 7 years. She graduated from Broome Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2000. She is an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association, “helping educate the community in oral hygiene.” Maria is fluent in Spanish.

Amanda S. Congdon, RDH
Amanda was born and raised in Schoharie County. She graduated from Hudson Valley Community College as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2000; before that she was a dental assistant in Guilderland for 7 years. She enjoys helping and educating her patients to maintain optimum oral and general health.
